Who Is ChattySpace for?
The ChattySpace dating website is created for people who are considering finding partners overseas. There are no geographical restrictions, so on this platform, you can meet members from the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Though ChattySpace is a pretty versatile website that works for people with different relationship goals, most singles registered here are seeking serious relationships.
Features and Benefits
All in all, ChattySpace is an international dating site that works just like a popular mainstream dating app. Why is it important? The system itself isn’t as complex as the systems of global dating platforms but the quality of profiles is better and the activity is higher compared to most mainstream local dating apps.
The main processes are the same, but the site still has its unique features, and I’m going to discuss them in more detail below.
Searching Guide
Again, ChattySpace is all about simplicity. When you browse the search page, you immediately see suggested profiles, and just like on most popular dating apps, you can go to a user’s profile to see more details, like a user, or move on to the next profiles.
However, there are a few things that distinguish ChattySpace from mainstream online dating platforms. First of all, you can see a previous profile if you accidentally skipped it or just changed your mind without upgrading your account to premium. Also, you don’t have to wait until you match with a user—a conversation can be started at once from the profile of the user.
There are only two search filters, though. You can sort members only by age and location.
Messaging Guide
An online messenger is the main communication feature on ChattySpace. If you want to start a conversation with someone, you only need to click on a member’s profile picture, and you’ll see the chat window right away.
Members can enjoy texting and send stickers, emojis, photos, and videos. Also, there is the virtual gifts icon (we’ll talk about this specific feature in more detail below). If you don’t know how to start a conversation, you can choose any of the pre-made first message templates, but note that from my experience, the reply rate for such messages will be 20% lower compared to the custom first messages.
Gift Guide
On ChattySpace, you can’t send real gifts. Unlike many other international dating sites and mail-order bride platforms, the company doesn’t provide gift delivery services. But there’s a good selection of virtual gifts that may be pretty helpful for those who want to get the attention of someone special.
You can send a gift from a member’s profile (the button is right under the bio, so you just need to click on the Pick a Gift link) or from a messenger (choose the diamond icon). There’s a fixed price for each virtual gift, and they all fall under a few main categories—Rare, Common, and Uncommon.
Free and Paid Membership Guide
All the features available on ChattySpace fall under two categories—free and unlimited features and features that only members who have credits can use. As I’ve noted previously, there are 2,000 welcome bonus credits, but once you run out of them, you’ll need to upgrade to keep using premium services.
Still, there are enough things that members can do for free, and though it’s hard to say that you can actually use the site as a Standard member, you’ll have enough opportunities to learn a lot about the community before you start spending real money.
Free Membership
Potential users can enjoy a pretty extensive list of free features, in particular:
- Profile upgradeEvery user can add or change information at any time, share photos, and even upload GIFs as their profile photos.
- Search & access to profilesIf you register as a male user, you’ll be able to browse as many women’s profiles as you want to and vice versa. There are no secret albums or videos to unlock with extra credits, which I appreciated a lot. It’s a rare thing on international dating sites.
- Likes & favoritesThese are the free ways to let someone know you might be interested in further communication or just save a few profiles of attractive members to contact them later. Still, my experience shows that only around 30% of users will contact you if you like their profiles.
- Customer supportCurrently, the only way to contact the support team is to send an email to [email protected]. They work well, though. I could get the response in less than 8 hours.
Of course, the best features are still paid features.
Premium Services
- MessagingThat includes any interaction on an online messenger—texting, sending stickers, attaching photos and videos. That will cost you some credits, but at least, the messenger is no buggy and you get notified about the price each time you are going to use any of the above-listed features on ChattySpace.
- Virtual giftsAs I’ve noted previously, they may be helpful, but the question is how much you are going to spend on them. I’d recommend making decisions carefully—that’s the only way not to spend too much.
All in all, all features work well enough. The concept of the site is making international dating simpler, and I must admit it works. I appreciated that there are enough free features that let you see who you can meet on the site, but I’ve been still missing more advanced features like video chat or emails for those who prefer long letters.
I’ve spent enough time on ChattyDate to see how the system works. Of course, a lot will depend on your goals and expectations, but I’d recommend everyone choose the top destination to meet a partner and then choose this person carefully. It’s a global service, and the location is one of the two available filters, so if you know where your perfect match might be living, you’ll already be able to sort the profiles and narrow the search. Also, if you see that something is not perfect, move on. Spend money on gifts only if you really like someone, watch your credits. Being picky on ChattySpace isn’t a bad thing.
